Freediving in Mozambique with BCSS – Bazaruto

Calling all freedivers! We are excited to announce our upcoming freediving trips for 2020! These week long courses will be held quarterly here at Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies:
*Autumn trip: April 10 – 18.
*Winter trip: July 17-25.
*Spring trip: September 19 – 26
*Summer trip: December 26, 2020 – January 2, 2021.
We will be working in partnership with Pure Apnea and Cape Town Freediving.
These courses are open to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned freediver or have never tried it before. We also offer Beginner and Advanced courses at an extra cost. The 2-day Beginner course will give you the guidance needed to reach depths of up to 10 meters + shallow water rescues, and the 3-day Adventure course will refine your technique and qualify you up to depths of 20 meters.
These free diving adventures follow a set itinerary, as follows:

-Coral reef freedive adventure
-Margaruque Island reef freedive-drift
-Benguerra Island tour
-Open ocean expedition (tuna / shark)
-Paradise island excursion & freediving
-Beach clean & braai
-Coral reef freedive adventure
-Departure
Total price for one of our week long free-diving adventures is R12,000, including accommodation here at the Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies research station and three meals a day, as well as the daily excursions, equipment rental, boat transfers, and island fees.
